Marketing Coordinator

Contact- Event Coordinator

Description- To create marketing material and oversee distribution via support volunteers across several social media platforms, the event blogsite, and various media connections as well as community connections before, during, and after the Faire. This position seat works alongside various other volunteer staff as needed to ensure as much positive exposure and communication with the public at large and particularly with our attendees, contestants, and sponsors.

Requirements- Organizational and time management skills are critical for keeping things moving smoothly as well as good written and verbal skills. Computer and social media skills are also incredibly important as they are heavily used along with good proofreading and and open willingness to work alongside other volunteers while having fun with a unique and fun event.

Duration/Hours- This is a year round position with hours dependent upon need. Starting immediately, this position will likely be about 2-4 hours a week which will likely increase significantly as we get closer to the Faire itself. There will be some further need after the Faire, then things will be quiet for a time before beginning to start up again in the Autumn.

Ages- 18+

Social Media Volunteers

Contact- Marketing Coordinator

Description- Work with the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Team to distribute marketing material according to the schedule created by the Marketing Coordinator, and to aid in maintaining communication with event volunteers and attendees as needed. 
*Special Note: To keep everyone's time needed to a minimum, we're looking for 4-5 volunteers for this particular job. 

Requirements- Active accounts with the given social media platform volunteered for, and as applicable mobile access for those volunteering for helping with live video feed and to help maintain communications.

Duration/Hours- About 1-2 hours a week before the event with increasing hours the week before (probably about 2-3 hours) until being hands on the day of the event (as coordinated with the Event and Marketing Coordinators) while enjoying all of the Faire fun and entertainment.

Ages- 16+

Sponsorship Assistant

Contact- Event Coordinator

Description- To recruit and assist in maintaining the best experience possible for our sponsors by coordinating all of the sponsor advertising, event boosting experiences, assisting as needed with set up and tear down, helping to maintain applicable communications, and other activities as needed (please discuss with the Event Coordinator for further specifics).

Requirements- People management skills very helpful as well as previous experience with marketing or hospitality services are all extremely helpful with this job. This is a terrific opportunity for anyone who enjoys being a people pleaser in a fun, unique atmosphere.

Duration/Hours- This is a year round position with hours that vary between 1 hour a week up to about 5 weekly hours as needed. Though immediately before, during, and after the Faire that is likely to significantly increase.

Age- 18+

Herald/Master of Ceremonies

Contact- Event Coordinator

Description- to act as the announcer throughout the Faire for various event introductions, time keeper, announcing for some individual activity winners, introducing/thanking sponsors, etc. Also help in planning any necessary scripting ahead to keep things moving smoothly and in a timely fashion while keeping the crowd anticipation and excitement humming.

Requirements- A love for building crowd excitement and positive energy. Experience would be a huge bonus as well. :)

Duration/Hours- About 2-4 hours the week before, and all afternoon/evening the day of the Faire.

Age- 18+

Photographers

Contact- Marketing Coordinator

Description- To take pictures/videos or attendees, vendors, activities, presenters, etc. We're looking for around 200+ pictures, so be ready to walk around and have fun with those ready to show off!

Requirements- Bring your own good quality camera, and prepare to show off your photography abilities!

Duration/Hours- About 1 hour (or so) the day before the Faire, then starting a few hours before the Faire starts until close. There will be some time after the Faire as needed to process and transfer the photos and videos as well.

Age- 16+

Stone Soup Helpers

Contact- Stone Soup Coordinator

Description- to help with recruitment, info distribution, team organization, food/equipment gathering and dividing, and food delivery.

Requirements- Your own transportation & experience/active food handler's permit  are all extremely helpful, but not required. 

Duration/Hours- Variable, depending on timing. Things will start at about 1-4 hours per week around a month before the Faire, and then increase about a week before the event as needed. The day of the event, all volunteers will be helping with set up, distribution, and help as needed with the beginning of the competition and then they'll be free to enjoy the remainder of the event. 

Ages- 16+ is preferable, but we are happy to accept any younger helpers with an attending adult parent/guardian.
